Q: My TV model is xxxxxx, Is my model is supported?

A: There is compatibility table at SamyGO home page and WiKi's main page. If your model is not in that list, you can try those;

If your model has no P letter after model number, (Like LE40B650T2W) Your life is better Than you can try that tricks at WiKi pages in this order:

  1. You have a LAN jack? If you have, you can use Telnet Enabler application for enable network access.
  2. If Telnet Enabler Application is not for you for any reason, you can also enable your firmware via SamyGO Firmware Enabler script for enable Telnet using [this page]
  3. After you can edit scripts at your TV. Keeping [this WiKi page] at mind will make your life safe.
  4. If you don't have LAN jack on your TV, than you have only one option: [Using service port via the ExLink cable] to enter your TV's linux console.

If your model has P letter after model number, (Like LE40B650T2P ) It means your firmware is encrypted and your hardware has some security properties we needed to handle.

  1. Using Telnet Enable Application will enable Telnet. But you cannot run every program that you want. You can mount NFS shares but cannot use new kernel modules... Since firmware is encrypted, we cannot touch firmwares for enabling telnet on firmware downloaded from Samsung site.
  2. [Using service port via the ExLink cable] will not drop you the linux shell, instead menu that you can play with it.

You also search your model number at [forum] and see what other people experienced with it. At last, please share your knowledge about your TV with us for adding your TV to compatibility list.
