SamyGO OpenEmbedded
You can easily setup cross compile toolchain or/and create rootfs image for external boot.
Note: This instruction refer to SVN SamyGO trunk repository which supports only TV with firmwares listed below!
US: T-CHE6AUSC, T-CHEAUSC, T-CHE7AUSC
AU: T-CHL5DAUC, T-CHL7DAUC, T-CHU7DAUC
EU: T-CHL5DEUC, T-CHL7DEUC, T-CHU7DEUC
Supported host systems are: Linux Debian 5.0 and Ubuntu 10.4 (both 32/64 bits versions), Mac OS X 10.5.6 (using Fink 32 bits)
Host systems need some preparations:
Ubuntu/Debian:
sudo apt-get install build-essential coreutils subversion cvs git-core texi2html texinfo \ patch help2man intltool diffstat bzip2 wget sed gawk chrpath desktop-file-utils libssl-dev
Ubuntu only:
You need to reconfigure /bin/sh to use bash using below command and select "No" when it asks you to install dash as /bin/sh.
sudo dpkg-reconfigure dash
Mac OS X:
Install Xcode from install DVD.
Install Fink using instruction http://www.finkproject.org/download/srcdist.php?phpLang=en .
Install needed packages:
fink install gawk sed wget getoptbin help2man texinfo desktop-file-utils
Do workaround OE sanity checks for chrpath:
sudo touch /usr/local/bin/chrpath
Pull SamyGO OpenEmbedded from trunk svn repository:
svn co http://samygo.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/samygo samygo
after pull, you can enter samygo directory:
cd samygo/oe/trunk
then do:
. setup.sh
Script setup will generate two files: build-samygo/conf/local.conf and build-samygo/env.source .
Now you are in build-samygo directory.
If you like build only a toolchain use this command:
bitbake task-samsung-toolchain
If you like build rootfs image for tv with firmware T-CHL7DEUC use this command:
bitbake externalboot-T-CHL7DEUC
After building all tools, results are at build-samygo/tmp/deploy/images directory.
